Give All Children Access to the Summer EBT Program NOW!

Summer break is hard enough on parents, and this year there’s a new program to help keep food on the table while kids are out of school. But 14 Republican-led states said ‘no thanks’, which will mean 8 million kids will miss out on this vital support.

The Summer EBT program gives the families of kids who qualify for free or reduced school meals a pre-loaded EBT card with $120 to help pay for groceries during the summer. Families in Alabama, Alaska, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Vermont, and Wyoming won’t get this important support this year because their states refused to implement the program.

We’re all doing our best to give our kids the best life possible, but the fact is groceries have gotten more and more expensive. It’s outrageous that some politicians are making things even HARDER for families by playing political games instead of giving families in their state the support they deserve.

Together we can show our elected officials that parents will keep fighting until kids in their state have access to this important program to curb childhood hunger. Will you add your name calling on all states to ensure kids have access to the Summer EBT Program?

Summer break is hard enough on parents, and this year there’s a new federal program to help keep food on the table while kids are out of school. The Summer EBT program gives the families of children who qualify extra help with groceries during the summer, which is a game-changer for millions of families.

This summer, 8 million kids will miss out on this vital support because 14 states have failed to implement the program. Our children deserve better. They deserve consistent access to nutritious meals all year round - not just during the school year. We urge you to make Summer EBT available to children who qualify without delay.
