Congress: Families Need SNAP!
Congress
Families across the country are struggling to get food on the table as prices rise – and it got even harder for millions when a pandemic-related boost to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) ended in March. Just as families saw a sudden decrease in their food assistance and food banks reported skyrocketing demand, Republicans in Congress unveiled a new plan – slash SNAP benefits even more!
SNAP (also known as food stamps) helps feed 1 in 4 children in the United States. Yet Republicans have proposed this plan to cut food assistance so they can protect huge tax cuts to billionaires and corporations.
Families are struggling enough – it’s time we strengthen this vital program, not weaken it. Let’s come together to help make sure even more kids are not going to bed hungry. Tell Congress: HANDS OFF SNAP!

1 in 8 Americans participate in the SNAP program in order to make sure they can feed their families. It would be unconscionable to cut food assistance as millions of families struggle with rising prices.
We call on you, our elected officials, to strengthen SNAP benefits and protect against attacks on this life-saving program, including cuts to funding and barriers to access, like work requirements and time limits. Our families are counting on you to help make sure no one is forced to go to bed hungry.
